This month I think we finally got this sleep thing figured out. At night we have a routine which you finally recognized as your queue to go to sleep. We read a book, and then turn out the lights and rock while mama sings some lullabies, then you lay down in the crib with your two blankies and most of the time you fall asleep fairly quickly. We have been using a noise machine since you were 4 months old which helps to drown out those noises that would keep you awake. You sleep from 7:30 (ish) till 6:30 ish on a regular basis, which is very exciting. We also use the same routine when it is nap time and it works very well.
Still eating everything that we give you. Added some more finger foods to the list. Scrambled eggs is becoming a fast favorite, along with curry chicken and sweet potatoes.
Dr's Scale reads 17 lbs and 15 oz. Way to start packing in the pounds. Moving up in that growth percentile
Length:
26.7 inches 2'2.7". Moving up in height too.
Size 3 diapers. 9 month clothes, also some 6-12 month outfits
- GROWLING, oh my goodness. When you first did this it had me rolling on the floor laughing. It's not just any growl. It almost sounds like you are possessed. So happy i caught it on video. For a whole week it was pretty much the only sounds you make. You still growl but it is much less frequent now.
- On the day you turned 9 months I took you to a small kiddies water park at the community pool near the house. You had a fantastic time and the cool water didn't bother you any and you loved going under all the different water spray spots.
- You now have two bottom teeth. Its almost like you are always teething. Wet drooly chin is the in thing and bibs are a must for you.
- You can now pull yourself up to standing and enjoy every moment of it. Mobility isn't far behind. Better start baby proofing
- You got your first haircut this month. It started looking like Kid and Play from the 80's so some shaping was needed. Just a little trim. Mama had to stay strong and not cry, but she did save some of your curls.
- Bath time is the best thing ever. You would stay in the tub for hours if we let you. The favorite part being when i turn the faucet on and you get to run your fingers threw the water.
- Grocery shopping has taken a new fun approach. Now that you can sit up, you can go in the child seat in the shopping cart. This is very entertaining for you and smile at everyone that passes buy, which sometimes makes our shopping trips take a little longer than usual.
- Mama gave you kitchen utensils to play with and
- We went to the babysitter's family reunion at the park and you had a great time playing with the kids and getting passed around and visiting with everyone.
- You can day dada but there isn't any meaning behind it yet. Also you say wow when you get excited. Also when the mickey mouse song Hot Dog come on you sing and dance to it.
